As resourceful as he had been, he was, therefore, back to using his cart for the original purpose of transporting his produce to the market.
He was a rather nice guy. Sometimes on his way back from the market, where he traded fruits and chickens for rice, he would offer his fruit to his fellow villagers. They, however, had been having too many bananas from their own backyard.
No, thanks. We have bananas too.
It was banana heaven/paradise.
Once a while a young maiden might patronise him by accepting a banana and then skittered away giggling with her girl-friends.
